Our Principle Pedorthist in Australia is Michael Harvey, who originally completed a 2 year understudy in theory and clinical assessment with Michael Glogowski Cped USA, Cped Canada and continued his training at North Western University, at the Feinberg School of Medicine, in Chicago, USA. He is only one of two Australian to complete the course at North Western University.
He is trained world highest standard in clinical assessment and has over 6000 patients in Australia. He is extremely particular in his assessments and identifying the causation of the problem. Approximately 60% of his work is correcting patients who have already had orthotic and treatment by other practitioners.
Our staff are trained internally by our Pedorthists, Podiarists and consultation with other health professionals include Chiropractors, Rheumatologist and Surgeons. We endeavour to lead our field with research and development.
If Michael believes that the best course of therapy is to manufacture a custom made orthotic, then 99% of the time he will make the orthotic on the spot, while you wait. He will rarely take a mould however prefers to use your limb as the template as he manufactures the custom made orthotic.
A Pedorthist is an allied health professional and clinician who’s role is to assess, design, manufacture, fit and supply an appropriate foot orthosis or medical grade footwear to suit a particular patient’s needs.
